Drawing River Water to Brew Tea is a celebrated seven-character regulated poem by the Northern Song statesman and poet Su Shi (Su Dongpo), describing the practice and spirit of preparing tea. A poem by Su Shi on drawing fresh water and preparing tea over a lively flame. Moonlight, spring water, snow-white foam, and the sound of wind through pines evoke the contemplative act of brewing and drinking tea through the night.
